Nirvana exploded into a music scene that had no mind, no depth and no substance. A young audience, sick to the teeth of formula pop and sugar-coated, safe rock was quickly seduced by the dark and dangerous charisma of this loud, angry band hailing from "nowhere" USA.
This band were different - they were multi-dimensional - the songs could be angry, ugly or beautiful as hell - Kurt Cobain`s voice and the thrashing guitars a nightmare or the saddest lament for lost humanity. These paradoxes were the driving force behind one of the best live bands of all time - a real fans` band, that loved nothing better than to entertain an audience.
Nirvana were not the most fluent nor the most proficient live band and some of the sets were jagged and raw from start to finish - but there was always an urgency, a latent force and dangerous drawing spontaneity about them, and Kurt, in particular, that sent audiences wild.
From Smalltown USA to the dizzying heights of stardom, this DVD Region 2 examines Kurt Cobain`s life, his musical influences and his death. These are precious moments which bring us nearer to understanding the legend that was Kurt Cobain. He left is troubled life on April 4th 1994, but his urgent message is not forgotten, his genius is not lost and his unique contribution lives on.
Featuring original footage, exclusive interviews and tracks dedicated to Kurt, this director`s cut music documentary is a moving tribute to Kurt the man and his music from those who were inspired by his extraordinary genius. Bringing together his peers, his friends, those close to the band and not forgetting the loyal fans who keep his memory alive.

The story begins in Mr Bumble`s wretched workhouse when Oliver Twist, an innocent and near-starving young orphan plucks up the courage to ask for more food and is thrown into a dark cellar for his impudence.
He flees to the streets of London and is befriended by the Artful Dodger who introduces him to a gang to street urchins and their unsavoury leader Fagin. Suddenly Oliver finds himself caught up in a world of pickpocketing and criminal activity, until one night a robbery goes wrong and Oliver is caught in the act.
Oliver`s life is turned around by the kindness of the victims, as the benevolent Mr Brown and his niece take pity on him and welcome him into their home. However, Oliver is far from safe as the villains he thought he had left behind discover the secret of his birth and decide that he must be silenced forever...
